Sound Around Town started in Raleigh, NC as Brittany “Carson” Carson’s Master’s thesis project, under the supervision of Dr. Caren Cooper. The project was in collaboration with the National Park Service’s Natural Sounds & Dark Skies Division. Participants received equipment for recording the acoustic environment and carried out period listening sessions. Check out the video below to learn more.
