There are 2 ways that individuals can participate in this project:
1. Listen and try out the app! Our web mobile app will be available to anyone who can access websites while listening outdoors. By listening and answering a few survey questions, personalized sci-art will fabricate based on your unique perspectives on the sounds around you. Participants will be able to save their independent image and share it on social media!
2. Record sounds from your own backyard to help National Parks Service map sound types and sound levels across the United States! Participants will borrow a customized sound recording device from select libraries when it becomes available. Currently, the pilot project is limited to citizens of North Carolina’s Research Triangle. However, the project will expand to other metro areas as soon as we are able!
